The 2020 NHTSA Communications Calendar and the 2020 Highway Traffic Safety Events Calendar are now available.
While the 2020 NHTSA Communications Calendar is substantially similar to the 2019 calendar, we are excited to announce a few new opportunities:
- Vehicle Safety Recall Awareness Week
March 2-6, 2020
Consider participating in VIN check-up events, and distributing NHTSA vehicle safety recall awareness campaign materials available on TSM. - Heatstroke Awareness Day
May 1, 2020
Along with our safety partners, NHTSA is moving Heatstroke Awareness Day from July 31 to May 1, allowing us to get the message out earlier in the season. In 2020, we hope to partner with additional stakeholders who can help raise awareness through distribution of our new “Park. Look. Lock.” campaign assets. - Pedestrian Safety Month
October 2020
NHTSA has designated October as Pedestrian Safety Month. Please consider engaging in concentrated safety messaging activity throughout the month.
