As Americans celebrate the nation’s 250th birthday, the Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) is preparing for one of the busiest travel periods of the summer. Heavy traffic is expected across Alabama from Thursday, July 2, through Tuesday, July 7.
The highest volumes are anticipated along Interstate 10, the I-10 Bayway, the US 90/98 Causeway, and beach-bound routes leading to Gulf Shores and Orange Beach.
