Alabama to provide $2.26 million for electric vehicle charging expansion
The Alabama Department of Economic and Community is providing $2.26 million in state funds to expand electric vehicle charging capabilities on Alabama roads. The grant will be dispersed six ways, five of the grants going to a Texas-based company who will install EV charging stations at hotels in several locations across Alabama for hotel guests and the public to use. The other grant will go to installing EV charges at a fueling station/convenience store in Huntsville.
